That is why Gaara has never been attack until the chunin exams in his match against Sasuke Uchiha. Gaara has never felt pain until then. Gaara has one sister, Temari and one brother,Kankuro. He is from the village hidden in the sand. After the shukaku was extracted from him he is still able to to control sand.
